# CoH3 Build Studio 2.2.0 — Command Room

A new command-room look, more expressive build exports, and practical tools for preparing your next match.

## A new look, with a familiar fallback

- Dark steel surfaces, restrained silver accents and new bundled heading and body fonts, inspired by the original Company of Heroes menu reference.
- Seven main groups: Headquarters, War Room, Intelligence, Arsenal, Multiplayer, Map Atlas and Community. Choose a group on the right and a tool from its submenu; selecting the active group again returns to the background.
- Appearance & audio lives in the lower-right corner. Switch to **Classic Studio** to restore the previous colours and fonts without changing your background or soundtrack.
- Pin your most-used tools to the menu. Search units, maps, saved builds and guides from one place and open the result directly.
- Optional, quiet menu sounds with their own volume setting. Smooth interface transitions can be disabled.
- A more compact build header leaves more space for the editor. Player, territory and status colours retain their meaning.

## Build exports worth sharing

- **Command dossier**: a full-width faction cover, a softer artwork fade, clearer typography and larger game icons. Titles sit below the artwork so the character remains visible.
- Numbered production and research rows, arrows between steps, optional resource icons, alternatives, warnings and strategy notes.
- Choose four to seven steps per row, a detailed or compact layout, a document subtitle, artwork strength and fade, and 1600- or 2400-pixel output.
- Smooth transitions between rendered previews. Preview settings are remembered.
- Export the complete team build, including each player's briefing notes. Include the existing economy/map appendix, or turn it off for a shorter image.
- **Classic sheet** remains available. PNG files are static; animated tactical plans still use the separate GIF/MP4 export.
- Print or save a PDF from the finished export. Long documents are split into print pages, using build-row boundaries where available.

Resource values on the build sheet are listed or manually entered costs. Forecast timing, discounts and related assumptions remain in the planning appendix.

## Prepare as a team

Open **War Room → Team briefing** to review the active team build. Each player has an opening sequence, role, opening route and support/fallback plan. A shared map displays the tactical routes already authored in that build.

Edit a player or return to Tactical planning directly from the briefing. Save the build to keep these notes with its JSON file. The briefing does not infer actual movement from a live game.

## Save Unit vs Unit comparisons

Open **Arsenal → Unit vs Unit → Saved comparisons**. Name and save both units, veterancy, equipment, distance, target conditions and calculation assumptions. Restore them later or export/import a `.coh3compare.json` file.

Incompatible files are rejected; a different dataset version prompts a review. Existing calculation limits remain visible: these are statistical estimates, not a battle simulation or a guaranteed winner.

## Keep useful lessons close

- **Intelligence → Matchup notebook** stores your observations, with an optional enemy faction, Battlegroup and linked build. Search, reopen and delete your notes locally.
- **Headquarters → Play session → Practice focus** offers starting goals that use the existing session goal and reflection system. Progress is assessed by you.
- **Headquarters → My showcase** adds your favourite faction, personal introduction and self-written milestones. Your existing profile and shareable rank card remain accessible in Multiplayer; personal text is not presented as a verified achievement.

## Compatibility

- New controls and guidance support Polish, English, German, Russian and Simplified Chinese.
- Existing builds, session snapshots, guides, replay notes, custom music and media settings are preserved. New briefing fields are optional; existing builds need no destructive migration.
- This is a **complete Windows x64 installer**, including the desktop runtime, game assets, fonts and bundled media. Close Studio before installing over the existing installation. Do not move only the installed application EXE.

## Verification and limits

The production renderer was checked in Electron 44.5.0 on Linux, including five-language navigation, stored-data roundtrips, themes, search, comparison presets, team notes, PNG creation and print-document pagination. The comparison regression suite checked 3,150 scenarios across 175 catalogue units. The packaged Windows runtime is Electron 44.4.5, verified against its official release checksums.

Native Windows installation, a physical printer, OBS capture and behaviour during an actual game were not exercised in this environment. Network-driven multiplayer results in UI checks were stubbed; this release does not claim to improve replay reconstruction, atlas historical accuracy or live-match detection.
