# CoH3 Build Studio 3.1.0 — Community & Build Order Studio

Prepared 2 October 2026. Deploy the matching 3.1 backend before distributing this desktop release.

## For players

- **Build Order Studio** replaces the War Room name. New builds include the faction’s free starting squad. Choose an HQ spawn; place each production building on the tactics map before playing or exporting an animation. Missing or unfinished buildings produce an actionable warning. Call-ins with no confirmed producer need an explicit entry point.
- Saving a build now asks for a clear title and a short strategy description. Community publishing defaults to **Public**. Local autosaves remain local.
- Community builds use compact dossier rows with map, faction, opening sequence and engagement counts. Open a build to leave a comment, reply to its author, or import your own copy. Authors can delete a published build or publish an updated version without overwriting a newer server version.
- **Top Builds of the Week** uses real engagement from the last seven days: likes ×3, favorites ×2, and unique downloading players ×1. Self-engagement does not contribute.
- Chat keeps free text and separate rooms in a smaller layout, with online/offline players and clickable profiles. Every message disappears five minutes after it was sent. Messages are removed from server storage in bounded cleanup batches, normally within another 30 seconds; old backups follow your server backup policy.
- An online counter counts active, authenticated app users, once per person. Presence refreshes every 30 seconds and becomes offline after two minutes without a heartbeat.
- Public profiles show shared builds, discussions and recorded rank history. Private builds and moderation details are not public.
- **Hall of Fame** separates 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4. Boards cover highest ELO, observed monthly improvement, all-faction rating, observed activity and faction leaders. Only people who have used the app are included. History starts when the server records it; missing statistics are explained, never invented.
- Original Studio rank insignia replace the copied rank artwork in the active rank and OBS displays. Rank levels still map to the game’s existing 1–20 tiers.
- Steam sign-in is required before opening the app’s tools. Sign-in still opens Steam’s official page in your browser. Saved work, media and settings are retained. Signing out or a server-confirmed ban closes native tools and overlays. A connection is required to restore/verify access.
- Administrators can suspend accounts for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or permanently. The affected player sees the reason and expiration. One appeal becomes available 72 hours after the ban starts; administrators can lift or shorten the ban or make it permanent and send an explanation.
- The English/Polish website has a classic metal-and-brass presentation and retains its interactive demos. Its demo has no Steam login button; sign-in starts from the desktop app.

## Inactivity rule — views, not edits

Public build pages and discussion topics are tracked **separately**. A detail-page view resets that item’s 90-day inactivity timer; directory polling does not. The author receives an in-app warning after 83 days without a view and a removal notice at 90 days. Removing a build does not remove a linked discussion people still view. Comments belong to their build and disappear if that build is removed. Private/cloud copies and local files are not included in this cleanup. Existing public content receives a full 90-day grace period when the migration is first applied.

## Getting started

1. Sign in with Steam. Your existing desktop session can be restored.
2. Choose **Build Order Studio**. Add the production buildings, then place them and the HQ spawn in Operations before exporting tactics.
3. Open **Studio Community → Community builds** to browse, comment or share. Use **Top Builds of the Week** for recent activity.
4. Open **Community chat** for rooms and the player list, or **Hall of Fame** and choose a game mode.
5. The verified owner account sees **Administration**. Suspended users retain access to the ban reason, notifications and appeal screen.

## Polski

- **Build Order Studio / Studio build orderów** zastępuje War Room. Nowy build ma darmowy oddział startowy danej frakcji. Wybierz HQ i ustaw wymagane budynki na mapie. Brak budynku lub zbyt wczesna produkcja blokuje odtwarzanie i eksport animacji z czytelnym komunikatem.
- Zapis pyta o tytuł i opis strategii. Publikacja w społeczności domyślnie jest publiczna. Lokalne autozapisy pozostają lokalne.
- Czytelniejsza lista buildów, komentarze i odpowiedzi autora, usuwanie własnej publikacji, aktualizacja wersji oraz popularne buildy z ostatnich siedmiu dni.
- Mniejszy czat z pokojami, listą online/offline, rangami i przejściem do profilu. Każda wiadomość znika po pięciu minutach; serwer sprząta ją w cyklicznych paczkach.
- Galeria sław osobno dla 1v1–4v4 obejmuje użytkowników aplikacji. Wzrost ELO i aktywność wymagają prawdziwych historycznych odczytów. Brak danych jest opisany.
- Wymagane logowanie Steam.
Lokalne i prywatne kopie pozostają.
- Strona EN/PL zachowuje wszystkie dema i otrzymuje klasyczną metalową oprawę. Logowanie zaczyna się w aplikacji, nie w demie strony.

## Verification scope

See TEST-RESULTS-3.1.0.md and docs/qa-3.1.0. Tests run on Linux with Chromium and a local PostgreSQL-compatible test engine. The production VPS, real Steam account, Windows installer execution, actual matches, OBS capture and concurrent real PostgreSQL row locks require deployment smoke tests. This release does not claim new replay accuracy or historical atlas corrections.
